Featured image depicts a Palestinian local site worker as he conducts a field inspection of the ancient Anthedon Harbour site, known as al-Blakhiyah. Located in the northern Gaza Strip, Anthedon Harbour dates back to to the 8th century BCE, and was Gaza’s seaport. In 2012, Anthedon Harbour was included in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNESCO) tentative World Heritage list. April 25, 2013.
