UN Human Rights (OHCHR) press briefing note by Thameen Al-Kheetan, Spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, documenting that 9 months after the October 2025 ceasefire, more than 1,100 Palestinians have been killed according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, with OHCHR having verified the killing of 685 Palestinians from October 2025 to mid-April 2026, including 283 women and children. From July 13-20, 2026, alone, OHCHR recorded the Israeli military killing at least 57 Palestinians, including 6 children and 8 women. Among these victims, 34 were killed far from the Israeli-imposed Yellow Line, undermining Israeli security justifications for the attacks. Essential for legal researchers and human rights advocates documenting Israeli violations of the ceasefire with specific OHCHR-verified casualty data, including the important finding that a significant proportion of Palestinians killed during the ceasefire were killed far from the Yellow Line.
