77 years later: Survival Stories from the 1948 Nakba

Ahmed Mustafa Al-Najjar, a Palestinian man born in 1943, who has lived in Al-Fawwar camp, south of Hebron, West Bank since 1949, on May 11, 2025 points to a writing on the wall that reads "we will return to al-Falujah, the right of return". He was displaced from the town of Al-Falujah during the 1948 Nakba. He is holding the key to his home, from which he was displaced in the hope of returning. He was able to visit his displaced village and take with him a stone, wheat, and soil.
