Bibliography of Palestinian village histories, a genre of historical writing typically produced by Nakba survivors or their descendants on the history of Palestinian villages ethnically cleansed in the 1948 Nakba or 1967 Naksa (Arabic for setback, in which 300,000 Palestinians were ethnically cleansed). Some featured texts are dedicated to towns that have not been ethnically cleansed as a means of preserving cultural heritage and collective memory. Permission required to access digital copies of featured texts. Most materials are in Arabic. This source is valuable for research on Nakba survivors, ethnic cleansing, the 1967 war, Palestinian villages, and Palestinian collective memory.
