Between Two Crossings tells the story of a Palestinian student seeking to leave blockaded Gaza to pursue her studies aboad. Through following Nour Al Ghussein's journey to begin her studies in the US, where she was granted a full scholarship, the film reveals the difficulties endured by Palestinian youth under Israel's crushing blockade and how Israel's system of total control of the territory disrupts the lives, plans, and dreams of Palestinians. Co-directed by Yasser Murtaja, a journalist who was assassinated by an Israeli sniper during the Great March of Return protests in 2018 and Roshdi Sarraj, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in October 2023. Released in 2019, Between Two Crossings was released posthumously for Murtaja. This source is valuable for context on the Gaza blockade, Palestinian youth under occupation, movement restrictions, Israel's siege of Gaza, and Palestinian human rights.
