Archival collection of Muhammad Ali Eltaher (1896-1974), a prominent Palestinian anti-colonial writer, publisher, and Arab nationalist thinker. This digitized collection, hosted by the Library of Congress, contains published texts by Eltaher as well as books and memoirs by Palestinian leaders. The collection also features cultural publications produced by refugees in exile, including periodicals from displaced Palestinians in Lebanon. Sources are primarily in Arabic, with a limited number of English-language materials that shed light on Palestinian engagement with international audiences, statements from the Arab Higher Committee (AHC), and materials exposing Zionist plans for colonial expansion and the dangers of partition plans prior to the 1948 Nakba. This archival collection is a useful resource for the study of Palestinian attempts to achieve independence under British rule, and Palestinian responses to the Nakba.
