The Political and Legal Implications of Israel’s Crackdown on Palestinian NGOs

The panelists were particularly critical of the Biden administration, noting a sharp contradiction between its pro-human rights rhetoric and its failure to oppose Israeli repressive measures or anti-BDS legislation. Munayyer argued that Washington's relative silence has emboldened Israel to escalate its "colonization project" with impunity. The discussion concluded with a call for the international community to move beyond mere statements of condemnation and take concrete action to protect the legal standing and safety of Palestinian civil society.
