Human Rights Watch (HRW) 2026 annual report chapter on Israel and Palestine covering the final phases of the War on Gaza through the October 10, 2025 ceasefire, documenting 2 years of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The chapter covers Israel's May 2025 offensive, its August 2025 offensive, the August 2025 Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) famine declaration, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GFH) controversy, International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants, and the early post-ceasefire period. At least 463 Palestinians including 157 children died from malnutrition as of October 11, 2025, according to Gaza's Health Ministry. An essential annual reference document for researchers and students needing a comprehensive human rights overview of the final phases of the War on Gaza and the early ceasefire period, including documentation of the GHF controversy, famine determination, and ICC proceedings. This source is valuable for researchers and advocates needing an authoritative annual synthesis of the War on Gaza's final phases and early ceasefire period, and is a useful entry point into HRW's underlying documentation.
