Joint statement signed by 179 organizations—including Amnesty International, Médecins Sans Frontières, Oxfam, and Save the Children responding to the militarized Israeli aid distribution scheme launched in May 2025, under which 4 military-controlled sites run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) replaced 400 distribution points, and to the killing of more than 500 Palestinians and wounding of nearly 4,000 in under 4 weeks while trying to access food. The signatories condemn the scheme as the deliberate dismantling of Gaza's humanitarian system amid Israel's blockade, and call on states to end the siege, stop funding militarized aid schemes that violate international law, and restore UN-led coordination inclusive of UNRWA and Palestinian civil society, alongside an immediate and sustained ceasefire, the release of all hostages and arbitrarily detained prisoners, and full humanitarian access. Issued collectively with no lead author and published across signatories' sites; this entry links Amnesty International's copy. Valuable for researchers studying the GHF, aid militarization, and humanitarian advocacy.
