Research organization that publishes resources on Palestinian history and geography broadly, with a particular focus on producing scholarly materials for a general audience on Palestinian dispossession and claims to their land and property. The Palestine Land Society was founded by Salman Abu Sitta, a Palestinian refugee displaced from his home in Beersheba to Gaza as a result of the 1948 Nakba, who is a leading Palestinian scholar of the Nakba. Through the Palestine Land Society, Dr. Abu Sitta has published several historical atlases of Palestine that serve to mark the claim of Palestinians to their original towns, villages, and cities.
