This Applied Research Institute - Jerusalem (ARIJ) project monitors Israeli colonizing activities in the West Bank and Gaza using satellite images, field work, aerial photographs, colonies' masterplans, and topographic maps to provide updates on the expansion of existing Israeli colonies, associated bypass roads, and land confiscation as well as detailed baseline data on sites where new Israeli colonizing activities are being planned or initiated. Created in 1993 by ARIJ and the Land Research Center (LRC), the project disseminates its findings to policymakers and the general public. This source is valuable for researchers, journalists, and policymakers tracking settlement expansion and is a long-running geospatial record of Israeli colonization in the West Bank and Gaza.
